EVENT LAYOUT SOFTWARE COURSE
During 2009, Event Layout Software Course was launched through TAFE NSW as part of the Hospitality & Events (Graduate & Diploma) Courses. The course has now extended into Travel & Tourism. Following TAFE success, several Event Management College’s now teach CADplanners as part of the course curriculum e.g College of Event Management Surry Hills, International College of Management – Manly
If you’re interested in the software to be used as part of your Events course’s I we would be happy to attend your premises and show you a demonstration.
This term we have successfully completed teaching our first class using CADplanners Visio Software.
With the assistance of CAD plans by CADplanners, our students experience creating CAD plans in BOTH indoor venues & outdoor sites. These sites & venues include, Randwick Race course, Hilton Hotel, Harbours Edge, Wollongong Entertainment Centre, Bennelong Lawn plus some other local Sutherland shire venues & sites. They have 1000’s of venue & site plans in stock (see website for list) and are happy to tailor plans to suit the college areas.
This program needs Microsoft Visio to work and we had to load this program per computer, from memory it cost $90 per computer and is ordered through normal IT TAFE procedures. We placed CAD program on the Student (P) drive and as long as the computer has Visio the students can use it – our library is one such place which worked out really well for students to use in other subject assessment tasks. CAD planners charge a one off set up fee & then an annual fee (1st year free). They have kept the prices extremely affordable as they are well aware of the flip side for their company.
